Job Description
Summary: Stantec is a leading firm in transportation planning and design, and they are seeking a highly motivated Entry-Level Landscape Architectural Designer to join their New York City studio. The role involves supporting design development and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams on a variety of public realm projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with site analysis and contribute to development of design concepts for projects and master plans
- Translate design ideas into graphic representations, including plans, sections, elevations, and perspectives (digital and hand-drawn)
- Prepare materials for client presentations and agency meetings
- Develop renderings and graphics for reports and presentations
- Support the preparation of design documentation and contract documents
- Assist with construction administration under the supervision of senior team members
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program
- Strong creative thinking and design skills
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and graphic communication skills
- Proficiency in industry-standard software, including AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, Rhino, Lumion, and ARC GIS
