Mechanical Engineering Intern at StandardAero in Dallas, TX

Summary: StandardAero is an industry leader in MRO services and customized solutions in the aerospace field, seeking motivated students for their Mechanical Engineering Intern position for Summer 2026. Interns will gain hands-on experience supporting the Maintenance Department, focusing on mechanical systems, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement projects. Responsibilities: - Support maintenance engineers with troubleshooting and equipment reliability projects - Assist in preventive maintenance planning, data collection, and process improvement - Help update technical documentation, drawings, and maintenance procedures - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance safety and efficiency Required Qualifications: - Enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering (or related) bachelor's program - Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, and teamwork skills - Experience with Excel, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks is a plus - Available to work full-time on-site 10-12 weeks - A prospective student must meet screening and security requirements - Must be able to accurately read and interpret dimensions and measurements - Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds - Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time daily - Must be able to bend, stretch, crawl, and climb ladders in order to work on areas within the aircraft that are difficult to access - Must be able to think clearly and speak intelligibly on the telephone and in person - The internship term will be Summer 2026 (beginning mid - May) - Length of internship is between 10-12 weeks - Internship is located in Dallas, TX; students must have own lodging - 1 Internship slot available - Must be authorized to work in the U.S Preferred Qualifications: - Excellent communication skills Required Skills: Mechanical Engineering Important Skills: Excel, AutoCAD, SolidWorks Benefits: On-the-job training, Advancement opportunities, Excellent benefits
