Job Description
Summary: Stagwell is a global platform that operates at the intersection of sports, business, and culture. They are seeking a detail-oriented Operations & Strategy Associate to manage and improve core business processes, support project lifecycles, and enhance cross-functional coordination within the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Build, implement, and continuously improve core business processes across operations, finance, and internal workflows
- Identify inefficiencies and design practical, scalable solutions
- Establish clear workflows, documentation, and accountability across teams
- Act as a “system owner” for how work gets done
- Support the end-to-end lifecycle of projects and partnerships — from kickoff through execution and closeout
- Bring structure to scoping, approvals, and tracking of work across teams
- Ensure alignment across stakeholders and smooth day-to-day execution
- Track budgets, expenses, and financial workflows with a high degree of accuracy
- Partner with finance to support invoicing, approvals, and reporting
- Help maintain visibility into business performance and proactively flag risks
- Own and optimize core tools (e.g., Asana, HubSpot, SharePoint) including setup, workflows, and ongoing governance
- Drive consistency in how systems are used across the team
- Troubleshoot issues and improve overall system effectiveness
- Serve as a connective layer across client services, operations, finance, and leadership
- Ensure priorities, timelines, and outputs are aligned across teams
- Bring clarity and structure to cross-functional initiatives
- Take ownership of high-priority, often undefined initiatives across the business
- Support event operations, vendor coordination, and internal initiatives as needed
- Navigate a larger organizational structure to get things done efficiently
Required Qualifications:
- Track record of impact. You've been in the trenches and have a proven track record of driving significant, company-wide results. You can point to things you built, fixed, or changed
- Bias to action and agility. You move quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- No job is beneath you and you lead from the front
- Breakthrough walls mentality. You are constantly pushing the envelope of what is possible and can figure out a way to make almost anything happen. You're a playmaker
- Clarity of thought. You can articulate a clear vision to cross-functional partners and bring structure to even the most ambiguous problem spaces
- Skilled at managing up and across. You know how to navigate a large organization and go toe-to-toe with senior leaders with confidence, not deference. You earn credibility fast
- Creates order in complexity. You prioritize ruthlessly, stay pragmatic, and bring focus to situations where none exists yet
- Genuinely tech-savvy. You learn new platforms fast, troubleshoot before asking for help, and tools like Asana, HubSpot, and SharePoint feel natural to you
- Financially literate. You're comfortable living in spreadsheets, tracking budgets to the dollar, and thinking about business in numbers
- Experience in operations, strategy, consulting, or a similar environment (agency or startup experience preferred)
- Strong operational instincts and understanding of how client-facing businesses run
- Highly detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and follow-through
- Process-driven with the ability to build structure from scratch
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and prioritizing effectively
- Strong communicator who can bring clarity to complex situations
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence without direct authority
- Hands-on and execution-focused with a bias toward action
- Tech-savvy with experience using project management and CRM tools
- Financially literate and comfortable working with budgets and data
