Summary: SS&C Technologies is a leading financial services and healthcare technology company. They are seeking a Finance & Accounting Intern to support their Finance team, focusing on system migration and financial operations in a global SaaS business. Responsibilities: - Support an active system migration by downloading, organizing, and loading financial and accounting data from our legacy system into the new platform - Update and maintain accounting files, schedules, and reconciliations in Excel - Validate data accuracy, identify discrepancies between systems, and help resolve them - Help document new processes, workflows, and data mappings - Assist with month-end close activities as needed (reconciliations, schedule updates, supporting documentation) - Organize and digitize supporting documentation for audit and internal use - Help maintain financial models, dashboards, and reporting templates in Excel - Support recurring reporting cycles by gathering, refreshing, and quality-checking data - Assist with ad-hoc analysis projects as they arise - Build familiarity with how a SaaS Finance organization operates day to day Required Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field - Strong organizational and problem-solving skills - Strong academic record (3.3+ GPA preferred) - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; comfortable with formulas, pivot tables, and working with large data sets - Detail-oriented and accurate, especially when handling financial data - Excellent written and verbal communication - Self-motivated, curious, and able to manage repetitive or detail-heavy work without losing accuracy - Comfortable asking questions and adapting as priorities shift Preferred Qualifications: - Exposure to Workday, Adaptive Planning, Tableau, or any ERP/data tools Required Skills: Microsoft Excel, Financial data management, Accounting fundamentals, Financial reporting, ERP system migration Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision coverage, A 401(k) plan with company match, Paid time off, holidays, and parental leave, Professional development reimbursement opportunity, Equity awards such as restricted stock units or stock options, based upon individual and business performance at the company’s discretion
