Job Description
Summary: SS&C Technologies is a leading financial services and healthcare technology company. They are seeking a Finance & Accounting Intern to support their Finance team, focusing on system migration and financial operations in a global SaaS business.
Responsibilities:
- Support an active system migration by downloading, organizing, and loading financial and accounting data from our legacy system into the new platform
- Update and maintain accounting files, schedules, and reconciliations in Excel
- Validate data accuracy, identify discrepancies between systems, and help resolve them
- Help document new processes, workflows, and data mappings
- Assist with month-end close activities as needed (reconciliations, schedule updates, supporting documentation)
- Organize and digitize supporting documentation for audit and internal use
- Help maintain financial models, dashboards, and reporting templates in Excel
- Support recurring reporting cycles by gathering, refreshing, and quality-checking data
- Assist with ad-hoc analysis projects as they arise
- Build familiarity with how a SaaS Finance organization operates day to day
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong academic record (3.3+ GPA preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; comfortable with formulas, pivot tables, and working with large data sets
- Detail-oriented and accurate, especially when handling financial data
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Self-motivated, curious, and able to manage repetitive or detail-heavy work without losing accuracy
- Comfortable asking questions and adapting as priorities shift
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to Workday, Adaptive Planning, Tableau, or any ERP/data tools
