Job Description
Summary: SS&C Technologies is a leading financial services and healthcare technology company headquartered in Windsor, Connecticut. They are seeking a motivated accounting intern to assist with various duties across Private Equity, Real Assets, and Hedge Fund administration, including analyzing data and preparing financial reports.
Responsibilities:
- Record all data within the accounting database for report execution
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations accurately/timely
- Record income/(expense) items and adhere to the terms (allocations) outlined within the partnership agreements
- Prepare capital call / distribution calculations & notices
- Prepare quarterly workpaper packages (BS/SO/TB/etc.)
- Prepare carried interest calculations as defined in partnership agreements
- Prepare and issue quarterly capital statements and financial statements
- Complete audit confirmation requests
- Assist on various product enhancement projects as identified by management
Required Qualifications:
- Accounting, Finance or Mathematics major
- Basic understanding of financial and accounting principles
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Proven ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Experienced in Microsoft Office suite
- Strong attention to detail
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
