RIT Co-op: Process Engineering at SRI in Princeton, NJ

Summary: SRI is an independent nonprofit research institute dedicated to creating innovative solutions for a sustainable future. They are seeking an RIT Co-op student for their Wafer Fab Process Engineering team, where the student will gain hands-on experience in semiconductor manufacturing processes and collaborate with process engineers to enhance and optimize technologies. Responsibilities: - Hands-on training with semi-automatic semiconductor equipment that supports low-volume microcircuit manufacturing and development - Working with process engineers to sustain, improve, optimize, develop, and integrate processes for existing and future technologies to enable yield improvement, defect reduction, improved reliability, and future technological development - Working in cross functional teams (Integration, Design, and Layout) to address process issues - Data collection, correlation, interpretation, and presentation of information to management and co-workers Required Qualifications: - Current RIT student majoring in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electronics, or a related science field - The selected candidate must be a US person (citizen or green card holder) - Semiconductor manufacturing interest and desire to perform hands-on work in a clean room environment for a significant part of the working day Preferred Qualifications: - Prior knowledge or experience of semiconductor processing at the Lab level is desired Required Skills: Semiconductor processing Important Skills: Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electronics Nice-to-Have Skills: Hands-on work Benefits: SRI's Pay for Outstanding Performance program, Annual Performance Based Compensation program, Competitive benefits package
