Job Description
Summary: SquareTrade is the fastest growing company of its kind, revolutionizing a $30b industry with service innovation and customer satisfaction. The Associate Software Engineer will work closely with the engineering team to contribute to the development of key innovation features and collaborate with peer teams to ensure effective solutions for onboarding new merchants and partners.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Team Lead to drive technical decision-making and solutions for the team as they build onboard new merchants and partners
- Contribute to the development of key innovation features
- Collaborate with peer teams to ensure your systems can interoperate effectively and cohesively to provide robust solutions that meet the needs of the business
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 1 years of software development experience
- Analytical SQL Skills for Data Analysis in Postgres database
- Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively connect with both business and technical teams
- Dedication to a high quality in performing technical code reviews
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to microservice architecture, domain driven design, and RESTful Services using languages such as Java, SpringBoot; UI/UX using Angular
- Exposure to highly collaborative, multi-discipline development team environment
- Fair understanding of Scrum and Agile principles
