Manufacturing Associate I at Spherotech Inc. in Lake Forest, IL

Essential Responsibilities

• Manufacture products according to established formulas, batch records, and standard operating procedures.
• Bottle, label, and package finished products according to specifications.
• Prepare labels and product inserts for finished goods.
• Maintain accurate production documentation and records.
• Monitor and update buffer inventory levels.
• Record daily equipment readings, including refrigerator/freezer temperatures and water system measurements.
• Follow all safety procedures and utilize safe work practices.
• Assist with additional production and departmental tasks as assigned.
• Provide excellent internal customer service and support as needed.

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to follow written procedures and work instructions.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred:

• Associate's degree in a science-related field, OR
• Two years of laboratory or manufacturing experience, OR
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills & Abilities

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including percentages, ratios, and measurements.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work in a laboratory/manufacturing environment with chemicals, equipment, and moving machinery.
• Must possess close attention to detail and the ability to distinguish colors.
