Summary: SpaceX is actively developing technologies to enable human life on Mars. As an Integration and Test Engineer, you will lead the development of manufacturing and test processes for satellite sub-assemblies, ensuring the delivery of flight-worthy hardware while collaborating with various teams. Responsibilities: - Define and manage assembly flow and test operations of satellite sub-assembly production area - Enable day-to-day execution of the production area by eliminating blockers, slow-downs, and waste - Develop and refine manufacturing assembly procedures based on lessons learned and feedback - Evaluate non-conformances to determine root cause and drive corrective actions to implementation - Scrutinize current and proposed designs for manufacturability, reliability, and repeatability - Interface with technicians, specialists, and engineers of multiple disciplines to optimize manufacturing and reliability Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline - 1+ years of professional mechanical/electromechanical design, analysis, testing, and/or manufacturing (internships/co-ops and club projects can apply) - Some travel to our launch sites may be required as needed, up to 10% - Must be willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree in an engineering discipline - Experience with integration and testing of propulsion, thermal, electrical, and/or structural systems - Experience working with composites and integration of avionics systems - Documentation and configuration management experience - Experience writing test plans, and procedures and providing go/no-go judgment and rationale - Experience in a manufacturing environment - Demonstrated engineering intuition, critical thinking, and comfort with ambiguity Required Skills: Mechanical design, Electromechanical design, Analysis, Testing, Manufacturing, Integration, testing of propulsion systems, testing of thermal systems, testing of electrical systems, testing of structural systems, Composites, Avionics systems integration, Documentation management, Configuration management, Test plan writing, Test procedure writing, Go/no-go judgment, Engineering intuition, Comfort with ambiguity Benefits: Long-term incentives, in the form of company stock, stock options, or long-term cash awards, Potential discretionary bonuses, Ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, Access to a 401(k) retirement plan, Short and long-term disability insurance, Life insurance, Paid parental leave, 3 weeks of paid vacation, 10 or more paid holidays per year, 5 days of sick leave per year
