Job Description
Summary: SP+, a Metropolis company, is an artificial intelligence company for the real world that focuses on enabling checkout-free parking experiences. The Customer Service/Enforcement Officer will serve as the face of the technology-driven parking experience, assisting customers and ensuring compliance with parking policies while maintaining the cleanliness of facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist guests in parking lots and garages, providing professional and friendly service
- Educate customers on Metropolis parking technology and assist with enrollment as needed
- Promote positive customer relationships by consistently delivering excellent customer service
- Respond to customer questions and concerns confidently and courteously
- Patrol assigned parking lots and garages to identify vehicles without proper payment or authorization
- Issue parking violations in accordance with company policies
- Document violations using company-provided mobile devices, including photo documentation
- Maintain the cleanliness of parking lots, garages, and common areas
- Identify and report debris, spills, hazards, or maintenance issues promptly
- Sweep floors, collect trash, and empty trash receptacles as needed
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, including cleaning, washing, oil changes, and minor upkeep
- Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Observe all safety protocols at all times
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- A valid state driver's license, current address, and acceptable driving record
- Strong customer service orientation with a willingness to go above and beyond
- Comfortable using mobile devices and technology (iPad, iPhone, Android devices)
- Ability to communicate effectively in spoken English with customers and team members
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Reliable, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to six consecutive hours)
- Ability to visually inspect vehicles and physically access all areas of garages and lots
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Preferred Qualifications:
- The ability to safely drive a manual transmission (stick shift) vehicle is a plus
- High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required
- Prior parking industry experience preferred, but not required
