Job Description
Role & responsibilities
Culture, Change & Employee Engagement
- Shape and drive the organisations culture through structured initiatives, clear values, and personal example
- Act as a change agent — leading culture and capability transformation as the business scales
- Design and run engagement, recognition, and internal-communication programs that build morale, trust, and belonging
- Champion the company’s operating frameworks and values consistently across all business units
Talent Acquisition & Recruitment
- Own end-to-end recruitment across all business units and functions — sourcing, screening, interviews, offers, and closures
- Build a reliable talent pipeline and manage the hiring calendar against business plans
- Manage job portals, lateral/campus channels and recruitment vendors; drive employer branding to attract quality talent
Onboarding & Employee Lifecycle
- Deliver structured onboarding and induction for a fast, effective start
- Manage confirmations, transfers, promotions, and exits with clean, timely documentation
- Maintain accurate employee records, HRIS data, and personnel files
Performance Management & Learning
- Run the performance-management cycle — goal-setting, reviews, and feedback
- Identify capability gaps and design training and development interventions
- Support career and succession planning for key roles
HR Operations, Payroll & Compliance
- Run in-house payroll accurately and on time
- Ensure full statutory compliance — PF, ESI, gratuity, bonus, professional tax, and applicable labour laws
- Own POSH compliance and maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace
- Develop and maintain HR policies, the employee handbook, and grievance-redressal mechanisms
Compensation & Benefits
- Administer compensation, benefits, and incentive structures
- Support salary benchmarking and the annual increment and appraisal cycle
- Manage employee benefits, insurance, and welfare programs
General Administration & Facilities
- Oversee office administration, facilities, and vendor/AMC management
- Manage travel, assets, and general office services
- Ensure a well-run, compliant, and productive work environment
Team Leadership
- Build, coach, and lead a lean HR & Admin team as the organisation grows
- Set high standards for service, responsiveness, and confidentiality
Preferred candidate profile
Required Skills
- Proven ability to build and transform organisational culture through initiatives and personal leadership
- Full-spectrum HR generalist expertise across the entire employee lifecycle
- Strong working knowledge of Indian labour laws, statutory compliance, and in-house payroll
- Hands-on recruitment capability across levels and functions
- A self-starter able to steer the function independently, with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills
- High integrity, empathy, and the ability to inspire and win trust across the organisation
- Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office; comfort with AI and digital HR tools an advantage
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree required; MBA or PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience spanning generalist HR, recruitment, and administration
- Experience as a sole or lead HR professional in a lean or mid-sized organisation preferred
- Exposure to manufacturing, building materials, or multi-business-unit environments an advantage
