Intern- Data Engineering at Sono Bello in WA - Bellevue

Summary: Sono Bello is America's top cosmetic surgery specialist, and they are seeking a highly motivated Data Engineering Intern to join their growing data team. The intern will be responsible for upgrading data pipelines and maintaining data integrity while learning about data quality and enterprise data management. Responsibilities: - Refactor Existing Python ELTs to conform to modern medallion architecture to improve monitoring and data integrity, and support our integration with a CDP - Work with engineers to learn how to monitor data quality, identify issues, and improve data accuracy to support reliable business reporting and decision-making - Partner with our Lead Data Engineer in analyzing and documenting our data bricks schema to support scalable reporting and enterprise data management - Assist with cleaning up and standardizing service and product hierarchy and categorization across the sales CRM and internal databases, partnering with business leaders to support accurate reporting and consistent business definitions - Support IT teams’ initiative to improve data consistency between systems as part of their Active Directory/Entra clean-up project Required Qualifications: - Currently pursuing (or completed) a degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field - Basic Knowledge of SQL, including writing queries and working with relational databases - Familiarity with Python and R for analysis and scripting - Familiarity with APIs and web-based data systems - Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a professional manner - Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy - Demonstrated ability to model Company values - Strong Willingness to learn new tools, systems, and technologies as required Required Skills: SQL, Python, R, APIs, Data engineering, Data modeling, Data quality monitoring, Data pipeline development, Data bricks, CRM data management, Willingness to learn Benefits: This internship is a temporary learning opportunity.
