Job Description
Summary: Sonalysts, Inc. is seeking a junior software engineer to support software development functions for defense system projects. The successful candidate will work on developing and maintaining military software applications in a cloud environment, as well as investigating and fixing bugs from system testing.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting development of new and existing software applications running in a cloud environment
- Investigating and fixing bugs resulting from system testing
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical degree
- Must be a U.S. citizen, eligible for a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience developing containerized applications for cloud-based architectures running Kubernetes
- Software development for a Linux-based system
- Experience/knowledge in multiple development languages/environments
- Experience with submarine combat systems
- Experience working within a defined (CMMI Level 3 or greater) software development process
- Possessing an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance
