Job Description
Summary: Solenis is a leading global provider of water and hygiene solutions, and they are seeking a Sales Support Engineer to join their Industrial Water Treatment team in Rome, GA. This role involves providing technical expertise to sales teams and customers, ensuring chemical programs and equipment operate effectively and efficiently, and collaborating closely with the sales team to recommend suitable products and services.
Responsibilities:
- Provide supportive pre-sales technical expertise to sales teams and customers throughout the sales process
- Offer thoughtful technical input for bid proposals, project work, and documentation, while helping identify opportunities to expand value for existing customers
- Install and demonstrate products and equipment at customer facilities in a clear, customer-friendly way
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to recommend products and services that meet customer needs
- Stay current on company technologies as well as competitor offerings to support informed conversations
- Assists with technical issues at customer sites, brings any issues to the customers attention and work with key account manager to put together a plan for corrective action – ensures the sales account manager is kept informed out outcomes and follow up
Required Qualifications:
- A supportive, team-centered mindset with the ability to build strong working relationships
- Interest in working closely with process owners in manufacturing environments
- Comfort with hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and helping customers achieve successful outcomes
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to clarity, safety, and follow-through
- Curiosity and willingness to learn about industrial water treatment systems, chemical programs, and plant operations
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with organization, consistency, and care
- Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record
Preferred Qualifications:
- Chemical Engineering Bachelor's degree preferred
