Job Description
Summary: Solenis is a leading global provider of water and hygiene solutions, and they are seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform testing, analysis, and quality control in the production laboratory. The role involves preparing samples, conducting tests, and maintaining laboratory assets in accordance with ISO 9001 standards while ensuring a safe working environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare samples for testing and analysis
- Perform testing on samples of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products
- Approve or reject samples and log results
- Provide timely and accurate results to internal stakeholders, including Production, Quality, Packaging, Scheduling, Procurement, and other teams
- Prepare reports, analyses, and technical input as required
- Identify issues and take appropriate testing actions or escalate to management when necessary
- Suggest improvements to procedures, protocols, or practices
- Calibrate instruments in accordance with established protocols
- Prepare indicators and support method transfer and validation experiments; assist with investigations as needed
- Maintain clean and organized work areas and instruments; properly dispose of chemicals, samples, and waste
- Monitor and order chemicals and laboratory supplies
- Maintain records of sample analyses, certificates of analysis, and related data
Required Qualifications:
- Experience with laboratory equipment operation, calibration, and sample preparation
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Excel and other Microsoft tools
- Understanding of safety data sheets (SDS) and the ability to apply appropriate safety measures
- Strong communication skills in a collaborative work environment
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to collaborate effectively when teamwork is required
- Associate degree in a scientific discipline, such as Chemistry, or equivalent experience
