Junior Business Analyst – Power BI at Solenis in Wilmington, DE

Summary: Solenis is a leading global provider of water and hygiene solutions, and they are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Business Analyst with Power BI experience. In this role, you will assist in developing, maintaining, and optimizing Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models to support data-driven decision making across the organization. Responsibilities: - Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports to support business operations and leadership reporting - Build and maintain Power BI semantic models and data models, including handling complex relationships - Write DAX measures and calculated columns to support analytical reporting - Design and optimize data visualizations that communicate insights clearly to business stakeholders - Work with large datasets to ensure performance optimization and efficient data refresh processes - Connect and integrate data from multiple sources such as databases, ERP systems, APIs, and data warehouses - Assist in data transformation using Power Query (M language) - Validate and ensure data quality, consistency, and governance standards - Assist with maintaining data infrastructure, reporting servers, and BI platforms - Support the monitoring of scheduled refreshes, batch processes, and data pipelines - Help design and maintain backup and recovery procedures for reporting datasets - Provide operational and technical support for BI tools and related systems - Work with business users to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions - Support troubleshooting of data discrepancies, report issues, and system performance challenges - Document data models, reporting logic, and technical processes Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or related field - 0–2 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or reporting - Experience with Microsoft Power BI (Power Query, DAX, dashboards, and data modeling) - Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases - Familiarity with data warehouse concepts and ETL processes - Understanding of data governance and security principles is a plus - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to translate business requirements into data solutions - Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills - Strong attention to detail and data accuracy - Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Required Skills: Microsoft Power BI, Data Analytics, DAX Important Skills: SQL, Data Modeling Nice-to-Have Skills: Analytical Skills Benefits: Continuous professional development with many opportunities for growth!, Recharge with 3 weeks of vacation, additional floating holidays & sick time, Competitive Base Salary, Incentive Plan and Annual Merit Increases, 401(k) w/ match, Comprehensive benefits which include medical, dental, vision & 401K
