Part-Time Sales & Business Development… at SolarShoppers · Palmdale

SolarShoppers | Palmdale & Lancaster, CA $25/hour + uncapped performance bonuses Approximately 20 hours per week | Part-time | Seasonal applicants welcome

Build relationships. Earn more for your results.

You’re good with people, you follow through, and you want your work to lead to something meaningful. At SolarShoppers, you’ll earn dependable hourly pay while building local relationships that can generate substantial additional performance compensation.

We’re hiring motivated part-time representatives to connect interested homeowners with our solar and battery team. This is a professional sales-development opportunity with experienced closing support, not a commission-only role or a door-knocking position.

A local company you can feel good about representing

SolarShoppers has served Palmdale and Lancaster for more than 13 years under the same name and ownership. We’ve been voted AV’s Best by the Antelope Valley Press, and we’re looking for people who will represent our company with the same care they bring to their own relationships.

What you’ll do

• Start useful conversations: Connect with homeowners through warm introductions, existing relationships, and permission-based outreach.
• Develop local partnerships: Build relationships with businesses and community contacts that can introduce interested homeowners.
• Use social media purposefully: Share approved content and respond to people who express interest.
• Keep opportunities moving: Follow up, gather the information needed for consultations, and help homeowners connect with our team.
• Stay organized: Maintain accurate contact records, next steps, and appointment details in our customer-management system.

Our experienced team handles technical recommendations, pricing, proposals, and closing. You focus on creating qualified opportunities and maintaining strong relationships.

Hourly pay plus performance compensation

You receive $25 per hour for all hours worked, including onboarding, training, and follow-up. Your hourly pay is not an advance against future bonuses and is not deducted from your performance compensation.

Additional bonuses are earned at defined project milestones:

• Self-generated opportunities: $100 for a qualified consultation held, $400 when the customer agreement meets acceptance requirements, and $2,000 when the installation passes final inspection.
• Company-provided opportunities: $100 for a qualified consultation held, $150 at agreement acceptance, and $750 at passed final inspection.
• Paid-partner referrals you manage: $100 for a qualified consultation held, $100 at agreement acceptance, and $300 at passed final inspection.
• Production accelerator: Earn an additional $500 on your fourth and each subsequent self-generated project passing final inspection within the same calendar quarter.

Each project is assigned one source category, and each milestone is paid once. Company-provided opportunities may be available, but a specific lead volume is not guaranteed.

A qualified consultation must actually take place and meet the documented criteria. Agreement acceptance requires an executed agreement, expiration of the applicable cancellation period, required program or financing approval, and an initial site review without an unresolved disqualifying condition.

Legitimately earned early bonuses remain yours if the project later does not proceed. Earned milestones are paid through payroll, and the final-inspection bonus does not require waiting for program funding.

There is no cap on qualifying performance bonuses. Full earning, attribution, and payment terms will be provided in writing; bonus earnings depend on results and project timing and are not guaranteed.

What we provide

• Closing support: Experienced company leadership handles proposals and customer agreements.
• Practical tools: Company communication tools, approved marketing materials, and access to our customer-management system.
• Clear visibility: A record of your opportunities, project milestones, and earned compensation.
• Paid development: Onboarding, coaching, and feedback to help you improve.
• Business-expense support: Necessary work tools and reimbursement of necessary business expenses.

Who will do well here

We’re looking for people who listen carefully, communicate clearly, stay organized, and consistently follow through. Experience in sales, customer service, hospitality, retail client development, or community outreach is welcome.

Solar experience and a large social media following are not required. We’re more interested in how you build trust, handle follow-up, and turn conversations into completed next steps.

Schedule and seasonal availability

The initial schedule is approximately 20 hours per week in agreed working blocks. The role includes onboarding and coaching at our Palmdale office, local relationship-building, and approved remote follow-up work; it is not a fully remote position.

We welcome candidates seeking an ongoing part-time role as well as those available for a holiday-season assignment. Seasonal dates are agreed before hiring, with the possibility of continuing based on performance and business needs.
