Product Manager - Onboarding Experience &… at Sokin · Belgrade
Job Description
Product Manager - Onboarding Experience & Expansion
Reports to: Group Product Manager (Onboarding)
Location: Belgrade
Your Role
We are looking for an ambitious, driven Product Manager to own the client-facing onboarding journey at Sokin. At Sokin, we are building a world-class product team that can help us remove the borders, barriers and burdens from global business.
Product Management at Sokin is all about creating and delivering an ambitious roadmap with your team and working continuously with clients and stakeholders to ensure your product is driving real value for our customers and the business.
This is an opportunity for someone who wants to be part of something challenging and transformative, someone who wants to play a critical role in driving our success.
We place a high value on curiosity. The best Product Managers here are endlessly inquisitive about our customers, our data and how money really moves.
About Us
Sokin is a next-generation B2B financial services provider, enabling businesses to make and receive global payments with greater speed, lower cost, and total transparency.
Our mission is simple: we're simplifying global business - so businesses thrive wherever they choose to grow. We deliver this across:
Global payments and receivables
Foreign Exchange (FX)
Treasury management
Finance reconciliations
We are expanding rapidly with an established presence across EMEA, APAC and North America. Backed by strong global infrastructure and industry-leading partners, we're redefining how businesses move money around the world.
Our clients span industries from sports and entertainment to logistics and travel, and our community is growing fast. We're building a team of exceptional people who share our ambition to transform the future of global payments.
As our Onboarding Experience & Expansion Product Manager
Our objective is a simple one: get a prospect into a client and trigger their first transaction, as quickly and with as little friction as we safely can. We are building a new automated, risk-tiered onboarding model in which low-risk clients can set themselves up and trade within minutes, medium-risk clients are cleared within hours after one light-touch decision, and higher-risk clients get a clear view of what we need and a decision within days. Larger clients receive a white-glove service in which our team does most of the work for them.
You'll own the client-facing journey in that model: every step, field, message and handover between the moment a prospect decides to get started and the moment they make their first live payment. You'll work with a verification platform through its API, build the journey Sokin's clients see, and make sure that no one is asked for the same information twice. You'll also own how that journey expands: into new regions and segments, and into new routes to a client such as counterparty invitations through Sokin Direct.
Success means materially higher conversion from start to first transaction, a shorter time to trade in every risk tier, a narrower gap between our best and worst-performing regions, and no loss of compliance standards.
Your role as a Product Manager at Sokin:
Define and communicate the onboarding experience strategy and roadmap, aligned to the company's vision and to the Onboarding objectives
Own the client-facing journey for each service level (self-serve, light-touch and white-glove), and the handover points between Sales, Implementation and Compliance
Diagnose conversion and drop-off by region and by step, run experiments on forms, copy, validation and conditional logic, and remove the friction that causes abandonment
Work with the Onboarding Decisioning team and Compliance so that the journey and the case work behind it run as a single system with shared targets
Work with Engineering on the integration with the verification platform and on end-to-end instrumentation: time to trade, drop-off by step, manual touchpoints per case and cost per onboarding
Measure and grow Sokin Direct counterparty invitations as an acquisition channel, from invite to onboarded account
Spend time with clients, Sales, Implementation and Support to see where onboarding stalls and validate product solutions
Work from Sokin's Jobs to Be Done catalogue: describe the jobs your customers and internal users hire your product for, the outcomes that matter, and the evidence behind them, and keep that picture current
Work closely with Design, Data, Marketing and Sales to launch improvements and measure their impact
Act as the primary point of contact for all onboarding experience product-related enquiries
We'd love to hear from you if:
You have 3+ years experience in product management and are excited by building B2B fintech products and have experience in onboarding, KYC/KYB, identity verification or other high-friction regulated journeys
You're analytical: you enjoy funnels, A/B tests and finding the pattern behind a drop-off, and you have used data to move conversion
You own your roadmap and can identify problems, make decisions and drive things forward without waiting to be managed
You're comfortable working with compliance, risk and legal stakeholders, designing journeys that are user-centric while remaining compliant
You enjoy working in cross-functional teams alongside engineers, designers and other functions to deliver value to users
You have enough technical depth to work closely with engineers on API integrations and third-party platforms
You love solving problems in innovative and creative ways
Curious and inquisitive: you ask why before you build, dig into the data and the customer's real situation, follow questions past the first answer, and are never satisfied with 'that's how it has always been done'.
Comfortable using AI in your role: you use AI tools as a matter of course to research, draft, analyse and prototype at speed, and you stay fully accountable for the result. AI is a tool that sharpens your judgement and never replaces it: you check what it gives you, and the thinking stays yours.
Please note, candidates will need to have the right to work in the jurisdiction that they are looking to work in.
Sokin is an equal opportunities employer and committed to maintaining an inclusive work environment. As a growing global startup with bases across multiple countries, we were established on and continue to promote an agile, flexible working culture. Please reach out to discuss any accommodations you may require during the recruitment process.
