Field Service Specialist
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to Foundation Equipment
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, hardware, software, and communication interface issues
- Collaborate with customers to understand technical problems and provide effective solutions to meet their needs
- Assemble, install, and wire electrical systems on board the machine, including electrical panels and related connections
- Verify correct installation using tools such as testers and multimeters
- Assemble mechanical and hydraulic components
- Coordinate with internal teams, including Design Engineering, Product Management, and Quality Control, to resolve complex technical issues and provide feedback for product improvement
- Deliver product training courses to customers and service partners to enhance their understanding and problem-solving capabilities
- Accurately and promptly document customer interactions, technical issues, and solutions
Activities
- Technical diploma (industrial, mechanical, electrical, or electronic)
- Knowledge of mechanical/hydraulic and electrical/electrotechnical drawings
- Knowledge of electrical equipment for wiring and precision tools
- Knowledge of PLC programming systems
- Knowledge of measurement instruments: testers, multimeters, and others
- Knowledge of screw, bolt, thread, and hydraulic fitting specifications
- Knowledge of measurement tools (tape measure, caliper)
- At least 3 years of experience in similar roles
- Good knowledge of English (B2 level)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with other company departments
- Customer-oriented mindset and attention to detail
- Willingness to travel internationally to provide customer technical support
For this position, an indicative base gross annual salary (RAL) between €31,000 and €36,000 is offered, depending on experience, technical skills, and level of autonomy in the role, in accordance with the Italian Metalworking Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL Metalmeccanica).
The compensation package may also include additional allowances and payments related to national and international travel assignments, which may vary according to the frequency, duration, and destination of on-site customer activities.
