Intern, Software Engineer, Settlement

Summary: SoFi is a next-generation financial services company and national bank focused on personal finance. The Software Engineer Intern will assist in advancing financial inclusion by adapting the platform to local-market needs, implementing new functionality, and participating in the entire product lifecycle. Responsibilities: - Partner with your mentor to work on well defined requirements for both product and engineering work - Learn how to deliver highly available, resilient and scalable services in a production environment - Write, test, deploy, and monitor efficient, scalable code to production that impacts millions of individuals - Learn to work alongside with project leads, product managers, and other software developers - Participating in code and design reviews Required Qualifications: - Enrolled in an accredited US-based university (working towards a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field) with an expected graduation date of December 2026 or Spring 2027 - Must be returning to school for at least one quarter or semester after the internship - Have no more than 12 months of professional full-time work experience (excluding internships and research assistant roles) - Must be willing to relocate to San Francisco Bay Area and be available to work in the San Francisco HQ office - Some previous experience with automated testing, building, and deployment systems (CI/CD) - Some previous experience with database and cloud technologies (Preferably AWS) - Our core stack is Python, we're running Kubernetes, and AWS technologies like EKS/Lambda/RDS/Aurora/Dynamo Required Skills: Python, AWS Important Skills: CI/CD, Kubernetes Nice-to-Have Skills: Automated testing, Database technologies, Cloud technologies Benefits: Access to senior leadership, including exclusive Q&A sessions with executives across all functions of SoFi, Exclusive opportunities to contribute to a tech hackathon, to deliver a case study to the CEO, etc., Development sessions for career, financial, and professional growth, Opportunities to participate in company wide events like All-Hands and SoFi circles programming, Networking socials to connect with fellow interns, SoFi swag giveaways, Personalized Mentorship Program, Fully stocked kitchen (snacks & drinks), Access to senior leadership, including round tables with executives across all functions of SoFi
