Summary: SoFi is a next-generation financial services company and national bank that is changing the way people think about personal finance. The DevOps Engineering Intern will work as a full-time member of the Engineering team, focusing on building products and features that help members manage their finances, while also contributing to the development of automated solutions for operational tasks. Responsibilities: - Write, test, and deploy efficient, scalable code to production that impacts millions of SoFi members - Design, develop, code, and test software systems, improvements, products, and user-facing experiences - Work with multiple languages and frameworks including: Python, Terraform, Gitlab - Directly contribute to standard methodologies, architecture, and implementation - Translate user stories into technical solutions - Participate in design and code reviews - Contribute to SoFi’s library of automated tests and overall testing infrastructure - Work alongside DevOps Engineers, doing state-of-the-art development work - Learn about new technologies, tools and processes that will build your skill set and help shape your career - Present your summer project and work to SoFi’s senior leadership team Required Qualifications: - Enrolled in an accredited US-based university (working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree) with an expected graduation date of December 2026 or Spring 2027 - Must be returning to school for at least one quarter or semester after the internship - Have no more than 12 months of professional full-time work experience (excluding internships and research assistant roles) - Must be willing to relocate to San Francisco Bay Area and be available to work in the San Francisco HQ office - Some experience writing Python and Gitlab/Terraform knowledge in a non-academic setting (internship, research roles, relevant projects, etc.) - Solid understanding DevOps fundamentals and how to apply them in a coding environment - Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and systems architecture - Ability to quickly learn new languages and adopt new technologies, methods and processes in a fast-paced work environment - Intellectual curiosity and an affinity for solving problems Required Skills: Python, Terraform, Gitlab Important Skills: DevOps fundamentals, Algorithms, Data structures Nice-to-Have Skills: Intellectual curiosity, Quick learner, Problem solving Benefits: Access to senior leadership, including exclusive Q&A sessions with executives across all functions of SoFi, Exclusive opportunities to contribute to a tech hackathon, to deliver a case study to the CEO, etc., Development sessions for career, financial, and professional growth, Opportunities to participate in company wide events like All-Hands and SoFi circles programming, Networking socials to connect with fellow interns, SoFi swag giveaways, Personalized Mentorship Program, Fully stocked kitchen (snacks & drinks), Access to senior leadership, including round tables with executives across all functions of SoFi
