INTERNSHIP - Cyber Security at Societe Generale in Jersey City, NJ

Summary: Societe Generale is a leading financial services company, and they are seeking an intern for their Information Security and Risk team. The intern will support various cybersecurity functions and collaborate with teams to implement and monitor cybersecurity controls. Responsibilities: - Work with multiple ISR teams to support the SG Americas cybersecurity program - Support data protection and vulnerability management initiatives and remediation activities - Engage with stakeholders in IT and Risk departments to ensure cybersecurity controls are implemented and properly monitored - Produce and publish metrics and reports for key stakeholders (e.g., CISO, CIO, CTO, COO) - Identify opportunities to leverage AI capabilities to improve existing processes Required Qualifications: - Understanding of HTTP, web programming, scripting and relational databases - Basic understanding of cybersecurity and operational risk standards, frameworks and best practices (e.g. NIST CSF, OWASP, ITIL, CoBIT, etc) - Good analytical and communication skills (written and oral) - Ability to do independent research and summarize findings - Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment where organizational skills are essential - Experience with MS Office tools (e.g., Excel, Powerpoint, Word, PowerBI) - Excellent collaboration skills - Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or relevant technical field with some exposure to cybersecurity - Fundamental understanding of communications technologies: email, FTP, Web Preferred Qualifications: - Practical experience utilizing AI tools and LLM's is highly valued - Cybersecurity, Risk, or IT certifications a plus Required Skills: HTTP, Web programming, Scripting, Relational databases, Cybersecurity standards, NIST CSF, OWASP, ITIL, CoBIT, Large Language Models (LLMs), MS Office, PowerBI, Communications technologies, FTP, Cybersecurity, Risk management, IT certifications
