Job Description
Summary: Accelint is a mission-driven technology company focused on strengthening national security and supporting critical industries. As a Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for producing high-fidelity 2D graphics, crafting motion graphics, and collaborating with software engineers to design and implement user interfaces for digital training products.
Responsibilities:
- Specialization in producing high-fidelity 2D graphics
- Craft motion graphics and ensure implementation by software engineers is solid
- Design for desktop-based and/or tablet-based UIs
- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with software engineers and other stakeholders
- Illustrate design ideas to product stakeholders using mockups as needed
- Provide feedback to software engineers as designs are implemented to ensure user experience is cohesive and accurate
- Regularly workshop efforts with the Creative Director and the Creative Operations team to maintain a cohesive design and user experience of the digital product
- Leverage design thinking and questioning techniques to develop strategies where pathways are not clear
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors' Degree in Graphic Design or related field. Additional years of experience may be substituted for degree
- Working knowledge and skill in design tools, for example, Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, After Effects, and/or other Adobe Creative Suite products
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex concepts clearly and persuasively across audiences at various levels of understanding
- Attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to work with other designers and developers to implement new ideas
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DOD) Security Clearance
- Portfolio that demonstrates the core competencies of a graphic designer
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Adobe Captivate authoring tool
- Previous experience in collaboration with system and software engineers on UI implementation
- Working knowledge and/or understanding of prototyping tools like Sketch, Figma, Balsamic, etc
- Experience outside of 2D production that demonstrates a variability of design skills
- Understanding and appreciation of standard user interface design concepts
- Understanding of foundational design principles and practices, typography and color, and multi-device usability standards
