Records Tech at Smile Doctors in Alexandria, VA

Hughes Orthodontics is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, driven person to join our Smile Squad as a records technician!

Primary daily responsibilities for this position include (2-3 days per week):

• Taking high quality intraoral photographs

• Obtaining x-ray imaging of patients

• Taking 3D digital Itero scans of patients for orthodontic appliances such as braces or Invisalign

Clinical responsibilities also include but are not limited to:

• Sterilization of orthodontic instrument

• Basic orthodontic assisting

Non-clinical responsibilities (1-2 days per week):

• Organizing marketing events outside the office to generate new patients

• Dental referral drop offs

• Social Media posting

We envision this role growing to include:

• Assisting with new patient exams as a Treatment Coordinator, as needed

• Front desk... lab tech... there are many opportunities to learn!

This is a role for someone who doesn’t want to be put in a box. While your primary responsibilities will include taking patient records and helping with marketing and patient communication, we’re looking for someone who is excited to learn all aspects of our office and grow into more responsibility over time. More important than experience are character, work ethic, attitude, and a willingness to learn. We are willing to train the right person in the skills necessary to succeed and thrive.
