About the Project

We are looking for a Junior Python & Linux Security Engineer Intern to join our cloud platform team. This 6-month unpaid internship is ideal for candidates who want hands-on experience in Linux, Python, Cyber Security, and DevSecOps while working alongside senior engineers on a production-grade cloud platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in securing Linux servers by managing users, groups, file permissions, and access controls.
• Support the development of secure Python applications following secure coding practices.
• Maintain and improve Bash scripts while ensuring safe command execution.
• Help implement secure communication using HTTPS, TLS, and WebSockets (WSS).
• Assist in configuring Nginx, firewalls (UFW/iptables), and basic network security.
• Support vulnerability assessments, security testing, and technical documentation.
• Learn and assist with virtualization technologies such as KVM/QEMU.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of Linux, Python, and Shell Scripting.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, SSH).
• Familiarity with Git and command-line tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and learning mindset.

Eligibility

• B.E./B.Tech/MCA (Computer Science, IT, Cyber Security, or related field).
• Freshers or candidates with internship/project experience are encouraged to apply.
