Summary: Skechers USA is a global Fortune 500® company that develops and markets a diverse range of lifestyle and performance footwear, apparel, and accessories. They are seeking a Full Stack & GenAI Engineer Intern to gain hands-on experience in building software solutions that leverage full stack development and GenAI technologies. Responsibilities: - Assist in the development of full stack applications, including frontend user interfaces and backend services - Support the creation and enhancement of REST APIs and backend services under the guidance of senior engineers - Contribute to GenAI use cases, such as chatbots, internal tools, or AI-assisted workflows - Assist with prompt engineering, testing, and experimentation with Large Language Models (LLMs) - Learn and apply concepts such as retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector search, and AI-driven workflows - Participate in research and exploration of emerging AI technologies, tools, and frameworks - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, QA, UX, and product stakeholders - Write clean, maintainable code and assist with unit testing and basic validation - Help document solutions, learnings, and technical designs - Participate in Agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives - Assist in preparing demos, presentations, or reports to share progress and learnings Required Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field - Strong interest and exposure in Full Stack Development and GenAI technologies - Passion for learning new technologies and experimenting with innovative ideas - Curiosity-driven mindset with a willingness to ask questions and explore solutions - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment - Demonstrated interest in being business-value driven, with the ability to understand a business problem and explore how AI-enabled solutions can improve efficiency, automation, or support business growth - Ability to articulate technical ideas and AI-driven solutions in simple, clear business terms, focusing on the value and impact rather than just technology - Exposure or Experience (Academic or Project-Based) with Programming Languages: JavaScript, Python (preferred), Java (nice to have) - Exposure or Experience (Academic or Project-Based) with Frontend Technologies: React, Vue, or similar frameworks (basic knowledge is sufficient) - Exposure or Experience (Academic or Project-Based) with Backend / APIs: Node.js or Python-based services, REST APIs - Exposure or Experience (Academic or Project-Based) with AI / GenAI Concepts: LLMs, prompt engineering, AI workflows (hands-on experience not required, curiosity is key) - Exposure or Experience (Academic or Project-Based) with Cloud & Dev Tools: AWS (e.g., Lambda, S3, EC2 – exposure preferred), Git/GitHub - Exposure or Experience (Academic or Project-Based) with Databases: SQL and/or NoSQL fundamentals Preferred Qualifications: - Java (nice to have) - AWS (e.g., Lambda, S3, EC2 – exposure preferred) Required Skills: Full Stack Development, GenAI technologies, REST APIs Important Skills: Programming Languages, Frontend Technologies, Backend / APIs, AI / GenAI Concepts, Cloud & Dev Tools, Databases Nice-to-Have Skills: Curiosity-driven mindset, Communication Skills, Team Collaboration Internship Start Date: Start in 2026 Summer
