Like Working With Your Hands? Hate Doing the Same Thing All Day?

You might be exactly who we're looking for.

Signarama is looking for a dependable, hands-on Production & Shop Assistant to join our Fond du Lac team.

This isn't a desk job or a stand-in-one-place-doing-the-same-thing-all-day job. Every day is different.

One hour you might be receiving materials. The next you could be cutting sign panels, helping assemble a sign, packaging a finished project, making a delivery or getting tomorrow's installations staged and ready.

No sign experience? That's okay. We can teach you. We're looking for someone who is dependable, likes to work, pays attention to details and takes pride in doing things right.

What You'll Do

• Shipping and receiving materials and finished products
• Check incoming materials for accuracy and damage
• Package signs and graphics for delivery, pickup or installation
• Perform quality-control checks on completed work
• Organize and stage finished jobs
• Help ensure installation crews have the signs and components they need
• Cut boards, panels and sign substrates
• Assist with sign and component assembly
• Use basic hand and power tools
• Make local deliveries and vendor pickups
• Safely load and transport signs and materials
• Organize tools, materials and supplies
• Keep production, receiving and staging areas clean and organized
• Jump in wherever needed to keep production moving

Who We're Looking For

You'll probably be a great fit if you:

• Like working with your hands and making things
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable with basic tools
• Can read a tape measure
• Notice when something doesn't look right
• Are organized and pay attention to details
• Can work independently without constant direction
• Show up reliably and work with a sense of urgency
• Take pride in doing things correctly
• Enjoy variety and learning new skills

Experience in manufacturing, construction, warehousing, shipping/receiving, fabrication, woodworking, automotive or assembly is a plus, but not required.

Attitude, dependability and willingness to learn matter to us.

This position includes local deliveries and material pickups. A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record that meets company insurance requirements are mandatory.

Eligible full-time employees receive:

• Health insurance – company pays 80% of employee premium
• Dental and Vision insurance – company pays 80%
• Company-paid life insurance
• Company-paid short-term disability
• Paid Time Off (PTO)
• 8 paid holidays
• 401(k) with up to 3% company match after one year

Local Ownership. National-Level Performance.

We're locally family-owned and operated, but we're much more than one local sign shop.

We are the only Signarama franchisee in the United States operating four locations — Fond du Lac, Appleton, Menomonee Falls and Pewaukee — and we consistently perform among the Top 5 Signarama operations in the country.

Our employees get the personal environment of a locally owned business with the equipment, resources and opportunities of a much larger organization.

Our four locations work together as one team, sharing people, equipment and expertise. Fond du Lac is a key production and installation hub supporting projects throughout our organization.

We make some pretty cool stuff—from local business signs and vehicle graphics to dimensional lettering, interior branding and large exterior signage.

You can actually see what you accomplished. You'll drive through communities across Wisconsin and see projects you and your coworkers helped create.

We're proud of what we've built, but we're always looking for ways to get better.

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on position. You must be able to stand and move throughout the workday; bend, reach, push and pull materials; safely lift approximately 50 lbs.; and help handle larger products with other team members.

Ready to Make Something?

If you're dependable, like working with your hands and want a job where every day isn't exactly the same, we'd like to meet you.

You don't need to know how to make signs today.

Bring us a good attitude, willingness to learn and a strong work ethic. We'll teach you the rest.

Compensation: $18.50 - $21.00 per hour
