Summary: Sigma Defense Systems LLC is currently seeking a Software Engineering Intern to support their Electronic Warfare training systems. The role involves working in a multi-disciplinary team to develop custom software applications for DoD customers, focusing on the design and modernization of C++ code. Responsibilities: - Work in a multi-disciplinary team environment to assist in developing custom software applications in support of our DoD customers - The design, building, refactoring, and modernizing of C++ code and associated containerization Required Qualifications: - Proficiency with Linux operating systems - Comfortable with containerized development workflows - Working knowledge of C++, Python and Bash scripting - Ability to follow direction of a Mentor/Supervisor - Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment - Experience with Microsoft Office Suite - Interest and understanding of RF signals and radar technologies - Must be a U.S. citizen - Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college of university in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Preferred Qualifications: - Math or physics background a plus Required Skills: C++, Python, Linux Important Skills: Bash scripting, Docker/Podman Nice-to-Have Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Multi-disciplinary teamwork, RF signals understanding
