Job Description
Summary: Sierra Nevada Corporation is a global leader in aerospace and national security, and they are seeking an Aircraft Inspector II to perform routine inspections and ensure compliance with airworthiness standards. The role includes responsibilities such as inspection planning, documentation, and maintaining compliance with inspection schedules.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine aircraft inspections
- Plan and prepare for basic inspections
- Document and report findings
- Identify and correct minor non-conformities
- Maintain compliance with inspection schedules and timelines
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of relevant experience
- Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience
- Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe (A), or Powerplant (P), or Repairman Certificate
- Experience with aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment and parts
- Basic understanding of audit and inspection processes and procedures
- Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Thoroughly familiar with the inspection methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools used to determine the airworthiness of aviation products after maintenance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to aviation maintenance and/or inspection operations processes and procedures
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military
