Job Description
Summary: Sidley Austin LLP is a prestigious law firm seeking a Financial Analyst to support their Strategic Planning and Analysis group. The role involves performing financial analysis and reporting, preparing internal reports, and working closely with leadership to communicate insights and results.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and prepare recurring reporting for internal Firm needs and various external requests
- Support the preparation of materials for various meetings of Firm management
- Perform due diligence and other analysis to support Firm initiatives
- Respond to ad-hoc requests from Firm leadership at all levels and various internal business professionals
- Communicate and prepare responses for external industry publications, including researching and compiling industry benchmarking information
- Assist with other efforts and complete special projects as necessary, working closely with peers, Managers and other leadership in the Strategic Planning and Analysis function
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance
- A minimum of 1 year of accounting and/or financial analysis experience
- Advanced capabilities and knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Good judgment
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to work harmoniously and effectively with others
- Able to preserve confidentiality and exercise discretion
- Able to work under pressure
- Able to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Law firm finance experience
