Principal Fire Safety Consultant
£55,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance | Remote | UK Travel
Lead the future of fire safety at Shield Safety
We're looking for an experienced fire safety professional with a Level 5 Diploma in Fire Safety to take a leading role within our consultancy business. This is an opportunity to become one of Shield Safety's senior fire specialists, providing technical leadership, influencing the development of our fire safety services and supporting some of the UK's most recognised hospitality, retail and leisure brands.
The Opportunity
This role goes beyond delivering consultancy.
You'll be trusted to make decisions, solve complex fire safety challenges and help shape how fire safety consultancy is delivered across the business.
You will play a key role in the development of our fire safety services, support the growth and development of our people, and work closely with clients to provide practical, commercially focused fire safety advice.
You'll be part of a business that combines expert consultancy with innovative compliance technology, helping organisations manage risk more effectively and creating safer environments for their employees, customers and visitors.
What You'll Be Doing
- Acting as a senior technical authority on fire safety matters
- Providing expert advice and guidance to clients and internal teams
- Supporting major client relationships across hospitality, retail and leisure
- Helping shape and develop our fire safety services and solutions
- Mentoring and supporting Fire Risk Assessors and consultants
- Reviewing complex fire safety issues and providing practical recommendations
- Supporting quality assurance activities and technical standards
- Working with Sales and Account Management teams to support client solutions
- Contributing to the ongoing growth and development of the fire safety function
What We're Looking For
- Level 5 Diploma in Fire Safety
- Experience in a senior fire safety consultancy, advisory or leadership role
- Strong technical knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and compliance
- Experience providing expert advice to clients and stakeholders
- Experience supporting, mentoring or developing fire safety professionals
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Commercial awareness and a practical approach to problem solving
- Ability to travel to client sites when required
