Job Description
Summary: SharkNinja is a global product design and technology company that creates innovative lifestyle solutions. They are seeking an Analytics & BI Intern to transform e-commerce data into actionable insights that inform commercial, merchandising, and marketing strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from our data warehouse
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports in PowerBI and Google Looker Studio that surface key retail metrics such as sales performance, inventory health, customer behavior, and conversion trends
- Monitor website KPIs to understand content and sales performance, as well as customer engagement with email communications; using this data to identify optimizations and risks
- Conduct ad hoc analyses to answer business questions from stakeholders across commercial, merchandising, and marketing
- Ideate, implement, and evaluate AB tests
- Assist in data validation and QA to ensure reporting accuracy
Required Qualifications:
- Current student in their third year or beyond of a bachelor's program or currently enrolled in a master's program
- Must be able to work a part-time 15 to 16 hour-per-week schedule with a minimum of 2 days per week onsite in Needham, MA
- Interest in Ecommerce, Business, Marketing, and/or Digital
- Academic focus in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field
- Prior academic and/or professional experience using SQL to query and analyze large datasets
- Prior academic and/or professional experience using BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
- Intermediate Excel skills required
- Comfortable working with data—able to interpret metrics and identify meaningful trends
- Ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Self-starter who's comfortable working in a fast-paced retail/e-commerce environment
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organized with strong time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated with strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Able to follow through on deliverables and resolve issues effectively
- Collaborative team player with a positive, can-do attitude
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in HTML or CSS a plus
