Shape A Life is working with a specialist children’s residential home in Derby, supporting young people aged 8–18 with complex and individual needs.

This is an opportunity to join a dedicated team and play a key role in creating a safe, supportive environment where every young person feels secure, valued and understood.

Role: Children’s Support Worker

Location: Derby

Pay: £14.20 per hour

Hours: Full-time, 35–40 hours per week

Including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins

What You'll Be Doing

• Build trusting relationships with young people
• Support children with autism, learning disabilities, sensory and communication needs
• Help young people develop confidence and independence
• Support with activities both in the home and local community
• Provide consistent, child-centred care
• Work alongside families, social workers, education and healthcare professionals
• Help create a safe, stable and positive environment

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for graduates who are:

• Compassionate, patient and resilient
• A 2:2 or above graduate in any degree
• Passionate about supporting children and young people
• Confident communicators and team players
• Previous experience with children or SEND is preferred, but not essential
