Summary: SERVPRO Team JRF is a leading cleaning, restoration, and construction franchise serving residential and commercial clients across Massachusetts. They are looking for a reliable, hands-on Facilities Technician to maintain their facility, manage fleet operations, and ensure equipment readiness for deployment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on all commercial vehicles
- Schedule and coordinate routine maintenance (oil changes, tires, inspections, registrations)
- Identify and report mechanical issues; coordinate repairs with vendors
- Keep vehicle interiors and exteriors clean and presentable
- Maintain accurate fleet logs and vehicle files
- Maintain inventory of all restoration equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, generators, tools, etc.)
- Perform daily and routine cleaning, preventive maintenance, and basic repairs on equipment
- Track equipment status, flagging items needing servicing or replacement
- Ensure all equipment is properly staged and ready for deployment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
- Stock and organize supplies, materials, and consumables
- Assist with receiving deliveries and verifying incoming inventory
- Identify and correct any storage or safety hazards
- Perform routine interior maintenance: lighting, minor plumbing, painting, cleaning
- Maintain exterior of property including grounds, curb appeal, and signage
- Perform snow removal and ice management as needed (shoveling, salting, snow blower operation)
- Coordinate with vendors for larger repair or maintenance projects
- Report any safety or structural concerns promptly to management
Required Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to operate trucks and commercial vehicles
- General mechanical aptitude — comfortable performing basic vehicle and equipment maintenance
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, perform manual labor, and work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks across a shift
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in facilities maintenance, fleet management, construction, or restoration
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain
- Basic carpentry, plumbing, or electrical skills
- Experience with inventory management or warehouse operations
