Job Description

Seelye Auto Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our service team. This role is ideal for a technician with at least 5+ years of hands-on experience in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicles. The right candidate will bring advanced technical knowledge, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering top-quality service that meets and exceeds customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on vehicles across all major systems (engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, etc.)
• Accurately troubleshoot complex issues and provide clear recommendations for repairs
• Maintain a high level of efficiency while ensuring quality workmanship
• Document services performed and communicate effectively with service advisors and customers
• Stay up to date with the latest automotive technology, tools, and repair techniques
• Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced technicians when needed
• Follow all safety protocols, dealership policies, and OEM procedures

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience as an automotive service technician (Ford experience preferred, but not required)
• State of Michigan mechanic certifications required
• Current Ford certifications strongly preferred
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass background, MVR, and drug screening checks
