Finance, Risk, and Compliance are undergoing a major transformation—driven by business and regulatory changes as well as significant shifts in architectural design. We are therefore looking for a Data Architect with experience in data modelling to develop an integrated data architecture that meets regulatory requirements and business needs. You will be a vital part of our community driving the Finance, Risk, and Compliance agenda in the bank. About the role: As a Data Architect for Data Collection in our team, you will take responsibility for the data modelling within the data collection tribe. In data collection tribe we are responsible to collect and harmonise data from all of SEB group and make it available for consumption in Finance, Risk and Compliance. The tribe has started the journey to replace our legacy data warehouse by a new solution. As a Data Architect you will contribute to the data design of the new data warehouse and to defining how to transition away from the legacy warehouse. Your work will involve a high degree of complexity, both from a business and data perspective as well as from a people and process perspective. You’ll work closely with business stakeholders and architects to: Develop harmonised business information and logical data models that reflect the data needs of Finance, Risk and Compliance, support metadata capture, consistency, lineage, and traceability across the data landscape. Support the establishment of common business terminology and data definitions, helping create consistency and understanding across stakeholders, processes, and reporting. Contribute to compliance with BCBS 239, Basel/CRR, IFRS, and other applicable regulatory requirements, and alignment with the domain architecture. Collaborate with stakeholders from the data collection tribe, data management professionals, and architects across Finance, Risk, and Compliance. To thrive in this role, we believe you have: Subject matter expertise - solid knowledge of the financial instruments – both from the trading and the lending side, collateral and party data Experience working with harmonised business information and logical data models, data definitions, data mapping, data flows, or similar disciplines that help structure and govern business-critical data. Strong understanding of data warehouse architecture and modeling approaches, including Data Vault 2.0, Inmon, and Kimball, with the ability to assess their strengths and determine when each approach is most appropriate. Good understanding of how data is managed and consumed across organisations, including reporting, analytics, regulatory processes, and modern data management practices. Ability to bridge business and data perspectives and translate complex requirements into clear and practical information structures. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with a positive, solution‑oriented mindset. Excellent communication and documentation skills to convey complex ideas effectively to both business and IT professionals. Fluency in English.
