Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Assess, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with acute medical conditions, emergencies, and critical illnesses.
Provide timely and evidence-based medical interventions for patients requiring urgent treatment.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessment and diagnostic findings.
Perform and interpret appropriate diagnostic investigations, laboratory results, and imaging studies.
Monitor patient progress and recognize clinical deterioration, initiating appropriate escalation of care when required.
Coordinate closely with specialists, nurses, emergency teams, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and timely patient management.
Manage patients with complex and multiple acute medical conditions within the scope of practice.
Ensure accurate, complete, and timely documentation of patient assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and clinical outcomes.
Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and expected outcomes.
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and relevant research activities.
Maintain compliance with UAE healthcare regulations, hospital policies, professional standards, and ethical principles.
Western Board qualification in Acute Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related specialty.
Valid medical degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
Proven clinical experience in managing acute and complex medical conditions in a hospital or healthcare setting.
Eligibility for UAE Health Authority licensing (DHA / DOH / MOHAP, as applicable).
Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and patient management skills.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in high-pressure and fast-paced clinical environments.
Proficiency in performing and interpreting appropriate diagnostic procedures and investigations.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient-care skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety, clinical quality, and evidence-based practice.
Ability to make sound clinical decisions and prioritize patients according to urgency and clinical needs.
Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with current medical guidelines and advances in acute medicine.
