They are seeking a Clinical Administrative Assistant who will play a vital role in patient care, managing various administrative tasks in healthcare settings. Responsibilities:
- Maintain efficient patient flow
- Ensures proper preparations for patient visit
- Prepare pertinent information needed for patient visits
- Schedule appointments
- Answers phones, triage phone calls
- Communicate between administrative team, clinical staff, and providers diagnostic staff, patient assistant team, security staff, and providers
- Provide and explain required forms and paperwork required at check in
- Verifie active insurance, in/out of network eligibility, and authorizations
- Collect copays, coinsurance, and outstanding balances
- Adhere to and explain financial policy to patients as needed
- Verifiy, enter, and update patient demographic information
- Connect patients with delinquent accounts to patient representatives to set up financial agreements and answer billing questions
- Manage physicians' calendars, scheduling meetings
- Maintain and update physicians CVs
- Assist in monitoring expiration dates related to licensure, certifications, dues, and subscription renewals for assigned faculty
- Coordinate business travel arrangements, manage itineraries, registration to conferences, etc
- Coordinate and facilitate specialized activities, events, and projects
- Initiate purchasing requests for food, supplies, or equipment as needed
- Keep management informed of high-risk situations
- Maintain HIPPA
- Open/close the practice for the day
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S
- Proof of vaccinations (may be required)
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Strong listening and communication skills
- Flexible schedule availability
- Ability to stand, sit, and use a computer for several hours a day
- Access to a laptop (you'll be provided one after training but need your own for training)
