Summer Associate at ScottMadden, Inc. in Atlanta, GA

If you are looking for an opportunity to directly contribute to a dynamic, team-centric environment where you will work side-by-side with leadership learning from some of the most experienced and respected professionals in the industry on a broad range of general management consulting engagements, you are looking in the right place.

ScottMadden is a general management consulting firm with three practice areas — Energy, Corporate & Shared Services, and Enterprise & Specialized Services. We work with forward-thinking clients across a wide variety of business units and functions, including human capital management, finance & accounting, supply chain and more. Our industry focus is also expansive. In addition to energy, we work in health care, higher education, technology, communications, manufacturing, consumer products and professional services, among others.

The Summer Associate Role

You will work directly with clients and gain exposure to important strategic issues on a client-facing engagement. Summer Associates research, analyze, interview, recommend, facilitate, advise and produce deliverables in a manner that is effective, persuasive and contributes to long lasting client relationships.

Summer Associates are encouraged to locate to one of our offices in Atlanta, Raleigh or the Boston area, but relocation to one of these cities is not required. Travel, at the discretion of the client, may be necessary.

The Project Team

You will work on a small project team to identify, and often implement, potential solutions to a specific client problem or challenge. Project teams are typically composed of three or four consultants and a partner. Working closely with experienced ScottMadden partners will maximize your learning and enable meaningful project contributions.

The Culture

ScottMadden is an inclusive, tight-knit community of professionals where both collaboration and individual performance are rewarded. Initiative and creativity are recognized and valued. Our culture is both collegial and entrepreneurial. Consultants build relationships that extend beyond the office and are always willing to help one another to ensure the work for our clients is done right.

ScottMadden is an ideal place to make your mark and take your career to the next level. Summer Associates get to know the ScottMadden culture, participate in a variety of internal activities such as First Friday lunch-and-learns and Community of Practice (CoP) meetings. In addition, you will work with an onboarding ambassador and sponsor who will help guide your internship journey and answer any questions you might have during your summer.

• Pursuing a Master’s degree in business administration
• Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills
• Skilled in problem-solving and building relationships
• Service-orientated and client-focused
