Job Description
Summary: Scientific Research Corporation is an advanced information technology and engineering company that provides innovative products and services to government and private industry. They are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to assist with understanding and updating drawings, maintaining configuration control, and supporting production efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Reading, understanding, and updating drawings
- Understanding and maintaining configuration control / change management for the hardware baselines
- Assisting production with product obsolescence mitigation and design improvements
Required Qualifications:
- Mechanical engineering internship (senior) or entry level full-time opportunity
- Need to be pursuant to or possess a mechanical engineering degree or engineering technology degree
- Strong communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong problem-solving skills
- U.S. citizenship
- U.S. government security clearance at the interim secret level with secret eligibility
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of technical drawings
- Ability to identify problem, develop solutions, and implement solutions
- Strong written, verbal, and in person communication skills
- Understanding of mechanical assembly techniques and strategies
