Job Description
Summary: Scientific Research Corporation is an advanced information technology and engineering company that provides innovative products and services to government and private industry. They are seeking an intern to support the design, implementation, and testing of web-based applications for Department of Defense initiatives, contributing to full-stack development projects and creating user-friendly interfaces.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the design, implementation, and testing of modern web‑based applications and services for Department of Defense (DoD) C6ISR initiatives
- Contributing to full‑stack development projects
- Creating user‑friendly interfaces
- Helping integrate back end services that enable secure data exchange and decision‑support capabilities across a variety of DoD platforms
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's or Master's program in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience (academic projects, coursework, or personal work) with: JavaScript/TypeScript
- React (or other modern front‑end frameworks)
- Node.js (Express or similar)
- Minimum 3.0 GPA (or equivalent) and completion of at least two years of relevant coursework
- U.S. citizenship
- U.S. government security clearance at the Secret level
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with RESTful API design and consumption
- Basic understanding of version control systems (Git) and collaborative workflows (GitHub/GitLab)
- Exposure to database concepts (SQL or NoSQL) and cloud services (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government)
- Knowledge of secure coding practices and an interest in DoD cyber‑security standards
- Strong problem‑solving abilities and willingness to learn new technologies quickly
- Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to work in a team‑oriented environment
- Prior internship or project experience in full‑stack development is a plus
