Summary: Schreiber Foods is a company that provides technical support within a manufacturing environment. The IT Plant Systems Intern will assist plant partners with IT-related issues, participate in process improvement, and gain hands-on experience in IT support. Responsibilities: - Support partners with hardware, phone, and IT-related issues - Diagnose, repair, install, and upgrade IT-supported software and hardware - Maintain communication with partners during issue resolution - Take ownership of partner requests and follow-up resolution - Assist with rollout of new processes, software, and/or hardware - Identify and address trends in support issues - Document, evaluate options, and make recommendations - Focus on proactive support and continuous improvement - Understand customer needs and requirements - Maintain clear communication during the resolution process - Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships - Participate in education, personal growth, and cross-training opportunities - Learn to document and communicate technical concepts - Together with the leadership team, ensures compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, in addition to customer requirements - Interprets and communicates customer requirements to plant production and/or support groups - Establishes and Audits PCPs, CCPs and Standard Operating Procedures to define and monitor processes, to ensure customer requirements are met - Reviews incidents during which the procedures are not met, and determines appropriate corrective action for partners failing to follow standard procedures Required Qualifications: - Pursuing Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT or related field (Sophomore or Junior status) - Strong written and verbal communication skills (English required) - Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences - Excellent customer service and a positive, solution-oriented attitude - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications - Ability to work independently and in teams - Strong initiative, high energy, and results driven - Valid driver's license, auto insurance (at least state minimum- more might be required), acceptable driving record per Schreiber Foods discretion, and vehicle that will ensure applicant can meet the travel necessities of the position are required - Authorization to work in the country in which the role is based Preferred Qualifications: - Exposure to computer support of hardware preferred Required Skills: Technical Support, Troubleshooting, Microsoft Office Important Skills: Customer Service, Communication Skills Nice-to-Have Skills: Teamwork, Initiative, Positive Attitude Benefits: Opportunity to complete real-world projects, participate in team meetings and contribute your ideas, Exposure to different areas of the business around the world, Internship program that includes engaging events and opportunities to build relationships at all levels, Relocation assistance (for eligible internships), Rewards program for referring others, Eight free counseling sessions through our Employee Assistance Program, Company-provided retirement contributions per year through our 401(k) plan and Employee Stock Ownership Plan, Volunteer opportunities to give back to the community, Discounts on our products and more
