Summary: Hermiston School District is seeking an Educational Assistant for Rocky Heights Elementary School. The role supports students under the supervision of an assigned teacher across classrooms that may include ELL, Kindergarten, Special Education, and Title I Reading.

Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the assigned teacher to assist students within the various classrooms. Classrooms may include ELL, Kindergarten, Special Education, and/or Title I Reading

Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must meet NCLB educational requirements by possessing a minimum of an Associate's Degree or 72 college credit hours
- Passage of the ParaPro Assessment or the Work Keys Assessment test serves as an alternative to the educational requirement
- Demonstrated standards of moral character and behavior as required of teachers (e.g. to serve as an effective role model)

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with students, desired
- Letters of Recommendation (optional)
