COORDINATOR/TUTOR at SchoolSpring in Danville, VA

Summary: Danville Church & Community Tutorial Program is a dedicated initiative designed to provide specialized academic support to students in grades K-12. The Coordinator/Tutor will plan, organize, and implement instructional programs in reading and math, supporting student achievement and collaborating with staff and other tutors to meet educational standards.

Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and implement the appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their potential in reading and math
- Instruct students according to appropriate curriculum, provide homework assistance, and support in the use of math/reading programs
- Provide support in the implementation of lessons in keeping with school district and state education requirements, keeping records of student achievement, and tracking their abilities
- Work in collaboration with staff, and other tutors
- Comply with and enforce policy & procedures as needed
- Attend and participate in meetings and training sessions
- Perform other duties and assignments as appointed based on student and program needs

Required Qualifications:
- Certified teachers or individuals with a four-year college degree or two-year associate degrees
- Ability to instruct students according to appropriate curriculum

- Keep records of student achievement and track their abilities
