Job Description
Summary: Beaverton School District 48J is a public school district serving students and families in the Beaverton area. The Bilingual Resource Facilitator supports the English Language Development Program and other services for multilingual and historically underserved students and families. The role provides written translation, oral interpretation, and liaison support between schools and students’ homes.
Responsibilities:
- Performs a variety of tasks assisting in the support of the English Language Development (ELD) Program and other programs for multilingual and/or historically underserved students and families
- Provides a variety of written translation and oral interpretation services for school programs and activities
- Serves as a liaison between assigned school(s) and students’ homes
Required Qualifications:
- Applicants need to be bilingual and biliterate in English and Spanish
- Applicants should have excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience using technology applications such as Word and Google Drive applications
- Applicants should have experience working effectively independently and on teams, excellent organizational skills and be available to work some evenings
