The DMFI Summer Intern will join a small, high-impact team focused on data-driven analysis across fixed income and macro markets, working directly alongside the Portfolio Manager to gain exposure to live trading and the investment process. Responsibilities: - Build and maintain fixed income analytics, valuation tools, and relative value frameworks used in idea generation and portfolio monitoring - Develop research pipelines and production-quality tooling for data ingestion, analytics, backtesting, and risk analysis - Analyse relative value opportunities across rates and fixed income markets using quantitative and statistical techniques - Work with the PM to formalise trading intuition into quantitative models and repeatable research processes - Improve the robustness, scalability, and maintainability of the team's codebase and analytical stack Required Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a highly quantitative disciplined degree - Strong Python programming skills with significant experience on data-driven projects (data manipulation, visualisation, statistical modelling) - Solid grounding in quantitative analysis techniques — you are comfortable with statistics, linear algebra, and numerical methods - Genuine enthusiasm for financial markets, particularly fixed income and macro - Excellent attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and strong communication skills - A software engineering mindset — you care about code quality, testing, and maintainability Required Skills: Python programming, Quantitative analysis Important Skills: Data-driven projects, Statistical techniques Nice-to-Have Skills: Intellectual curiosity, Software engineering mindset Internship Start Date: Start in 2026 Summer
