Summary: Schellman is a leading provider of attestation and compliance services, specializing in cybersecurity and IT audits. As an IT Intern, you'll support the firm's data and business intelligence initiatives, collaborating closely with the IT team to enhance data accessibility and organization. Responsibilities: - Support the transition to a new Business Intelligence platform, including data migration and validation tasks - Assist with building and maintaining dashboards and metrics reporting in Power BI Pro - Write and review SQL queries to support data analysis and reporting needs - Help catalog data fields in the new data platform, including assigning data owners and documenting definitions - Assist with data governance tasks using tools such as Ovaledge - Maintain and organize accurate data records and documentation - Collaborate with IT and cross-functional stakeholders to surface insights in a centralized, easy-to-navigate format - Adhere to project schedules and keep team members informed of task progress - Escalate technical issues internally in a timely and appropriate manner - Attend project kick-off and closing meetings Required Qualifications: - Foundational knowledge of data analytics, BI tools, or data engineering concepts - Ability to read and write SQL - High attention to detail and quality of work product - Strong organizational and communication skills - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel - Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Data Engineering, Data Analytics, Information Technology, Business Finance with a concentration in Computer Information Systems (CIS), or any other applicable degrees - Completed 2 years of education, achieving Junior level status - Experience through coursework, internships, or projects involving data, analytics, or BI tools Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with Power BI, AWS, or similar platforms Required Skills: Data analytics, Business Intelligence, SQL, Power BI, AWS, Data governance, Microsoft Excel
