Summary: Schaefer Advertising Co. is an agency dedicated to fostering a supportive and collaborative environment for its employees. The Copywriter Intern will work closely with the Creative Team, developing copy for various media and contributing to creative projects while gaining real-world experience in the advertising industry. Responsibilities: - Develop copy for video, print, digital ads, websites and social media - Collaborate with designers, digital strategists and account service - Contribute to creative brainstorms - Turn concepts into content - Proof and edit work to uphold editorial standards - Articulate rationale and present internally Required Qualifications: - 3.25 cumulative GPA or higher - Portfolio should include traditional and digital work - English/Journalism/Communications or similar field of study - your writing skills are more important than how you got them - Must be a junior or beyond, we welcome post-grad candidates - Must be curious - Must take direction well and be detail-oriented - Must love language and know how to wield it - Have thick skin and a sense of humor - Must be available to work 25-30 hours per week for 11 weeks - Must be available to work at a minimum 3 days per week in the office on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday - You must sign a confidentiality agreement - You must have a valid driver's license Preferred Qualifications: - Serious social media chops are a plus Required Skills: Copywriting, Creative collaboration Important Skills: Social media proficiency Nice-to-Have Skills: communicator, Curiosity, Thick skin Internship Start Date: Start in 2026 Summer
