Job Description
Summary: Savannah River National Laboratory is seeking an undergraduate intern for their Corrosion Science EM University Program. The role involves assisting in the preparation and analysis of waste matrices and contributing to various corrosion projects, including soil-side corrosion mitigation and the extraction of critical minerals from electronic waste.
Responsibilities:
- Have educational or research laboratory experience
- Think critically, analyze data, and integrate these skills into effective experimental design, execution, and reporting
- Develop partnerships with internal team members of different backgrounds
- Effectively communicate (verbal & written) technical results
- Understand their own job and how the role interacts with their team
- Gain support for ideas within the team
- Work safely with particular attention to quality. Comply with all policies and standards
Required Qualifications:
- HS (or Equiv) + 1 or more yrs of university education
- Be pursuing a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or a related field
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
