INTERNAL AUDITOR Location: Saint James, Jamaica Responsibilities • Knowledge of audit procedures, including risk-based planning techniques and methods used to examine, verify and analyse business and financial operations, information, records, statements and reports. • Knowledge of the audit tools & techniques used in evidence gathering, documentation and data interrogation (i.e. ACL, Teammate, etc.). • Ongoing studies and research to understand and apply the requirements of the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing. • Knowledge of the principles, procedures and techniques of accounting, and of financial records and transactions. • The ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing • The ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally • A valid driver’s license and a personal motor vehicle for travel in Jamaica Qualifications: • Educated to an associate degree level, preferably in accounting, business, hospitality or another related field. • A relevant professional accountancy and/or auditing qualification (e.g. CPA, ACCA, CIA, etc.) or currently studying towards this • 1-2 years’ work experience either in finance or audit or in a senior role in the operational side of business. • For candidates meeting the above competence requirements, preference will be given to those with hospitality experience, particularly within the all-inclusive industry
